"Abi trained me to groom 9 years ago. The training gave me the skills I needed to groom all breeds of dogs to breed standard, how to deal with different types of dog behaviour and when to ask for help if needed.
From this I went on to open my own successful grooming salon which I wouldn’t have done without the training Abi provided so thank you! Abi was so patient and understanding and we still maintain a great relationship today, fully recommend."

Our courses are usually taught across various weekdays from 9:30am to 5:00pm. Exact days and times will be agreed individually with each student to provide flexibility.
Most of our courses are open to anyone aged 16+ (or 14+ for some short courses such as the Canine Body Language Award). No prior experience is required for entry-level qualifications or our own Academy courses.
For most grooming courses, we keep class sizes very small to ensure plenty of one-to-one guidance. All grooming-based qualifications and Academy certificated courses are capped at a maximum of 2 learners at a time.
The exceptions are the Canine First Aid and Canine Body Language courses, which can be delivered in groups of up to 10 learners.
Depending on the course you choose, you will receive either:
- An Ofqual regulated iPET Network qualification, recognised by employers across the grooming industry.
- Or a Birmingham Dog Grooming Academy Certificate, for our salon-certificated courses and workshops.
